Valentin Espiricueta is known for his hands. The fastest hands I have ever beard witness to. Valentin specializes in Amateur Boxing, Mixed Martial Arts and is the Co- founder of Applied Sports along with former Dallas Cowboy Randy White. Valentin is a certified instructor and World Champion and founder of Southeast Asian Academy. He also instructs in Police defense tactics.
Muay Thai also known as Thai Boxing is taught with various practices. Thai Boxing consists of stand up fighting, punches, sheen kicks, elbows, and knees. M.M.A Pro Fighter Freddy Espiricueta has excellent Thai Boxing skills trained under Valentin Espiricueta. Freddy won The World Muay Thai Console Belt in the middle weight division.
Liam McCarty is another M.M.A Pro fighter that Valentin Coaches. This fighter specializes in ground and pound also known as Jiu Jitsu. Jiu Jitsu is grappling techniques to overcome your opponent on the ground by submission are by ground and pound. Liam went to Louisiana and won the Louisiana Fighting Championship Belt in the welterweight division.
Seth Clifton is one of many fighters that train in Valentin’s gym. He recently came from Russia where he competed in a tournament for the U.S.A. He too is an awesome fighter. Has great stand up and ground game.
Not only does Valentine train competitors but also trains many of the Dallas Cowboys. Majority of them are on defensive line. Well- known defensive sack masters such as Greg Ellis, La’Roi Glover and De Marcus Ware come in to see Valentin to brush up on there hands. Bradie James, Marcus Spears, Andre Gurode, and Jay Ratliff are some other famed Cowboys that use Valentin’s techniques on the field, thanks to a system called Applied Sports. “Really it’s all in the Hands”. –Val
Valentin’s Protégé (myself) is Anita Evon Rodriguez. He has been training her for since 2007. She began Competing in Amateur Boxing in January of 2008 and now has a record of 11-1. Nearly all her bouts have been R.S.C, meaning the referee stop the contest. Evon is the 72nd Dallas Golden Gloves 2008 champion, 10th Annual Black Gloves Champion, 2008 Ringside World Champion at 132 Novice Division. Evon has won two nice Championship Belts in boxing. Amateur Boxing is the road towards a pro career in the sport she really loves. Valentin being her only trainer Evon needs and wants to be a great boxer and the sky is the limit.
As you can plainly see Valentin is everything rolled in to one. He has accomplished plenty and many more to come. Valentin is under appreciated and in my option under recognized. Evon wants to box here in her home town; however it has been extremely hard to find an opponent in her age and weight bracket. This leads to Valentin and Evon attending contests in other areas. Again that does not mean you won’t be seeing Valentin and Evon make an effort on trying to get a boxing match here in home town.
